We are looking for a Head of Marketing to join our music tech company and help us build a global music TV network.

About the role 
In this very diverse marketing role you’ll cover all aspects of the marketing spectrum – from retention campaigns to branding, and from PR to partnerships, it’s all there. As Head of Marketing, you’ll lead the team responsible for our owned channels. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our platform partners to ensure effective placements on their platforms. You will lead campaigns to increase retention and growth through paid acquisition. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of XITE’s brand image and tone of voice.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the team that manages our owned channels (TV products, email, website, social).

  • Manage platform relationships to ensure effective placement and launch campaigns.

  • Set up partnerships with music labels, media outlets and festivals to drive brand awareness.

  • Maintain XITE’s visual identity and unique brand voice.

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to increase brand awareness in the B2B market.

  • Write and edit press releases, media kits, and other materials to support media relations efforts.

  • Manage creative or PR agency engagement.

  • Set up experiments and optimize our products to retain customers.

  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns across various channels.

  • Analyze and report on campaign performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize future campaigns.

  • Manage a team of marketeers and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

  • Collaborate with other teams across the organization, including product, sales, data, and music.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in the music, entertainment or streaming industry is a plus.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful growth marketing campaigns (B2C and B2B).

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to make informed decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and Dutch would be a plus).

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for experimentation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt quickly to a dynamic market, changing priorities and deadlines.

  • You live in the Netherlands and have an EU nationality or valid EU VISA.

The hiring process

  2. HR Interview (online): Our recruiters will contact you, because we’d really like to find out more about you and to see if there is a culture fit between you and XITE. During this interview you can ask all your questions about the company.
  3. Interview with our current Head of Marketing and one of our Board Members (at our office): In this interview we will dive deeper into the role and your motivation and experience for this position.
  4. Assignment: This is your moment to shine and let us know what skills you offer! You get one week to make this assignment. Need more time? Not a problem, just let us know!
  5. Team interview and a cup of coffee with our Director of Sales & Partnerships (at our office): In this final interview you will meet the rest of the team and get the chance to ask all your last questions.
  6. Reference check: we ask you for 2 references that we can give a call and ask a few questions as a part of our hiring process.
