IT Support Engineer

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer. You will be the go-to person for IT support at XITE, with the opportunity to grow into broader operational tasks.

About the role & the team 

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to be the go-to person for IT support at XITE. You’ll take the lead in coordinating day-to-day IT support: helping colleagues with onboarding, troubleshooting, device and account management, and keeping a close eye on systems through active monitoring. This is a hands-on role with a strong sense of ownership, and plenty of room to grow into broader operational tasks. You’ll be part of our Infrastructure, Security & Operations team, a small but experienced team that supports everything from core infrastructure and content delivery to internal tooling and IT processes. The team collaborates closely with XITE's other tech teams to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for IT support across the company.

• Manage and maintain our fleet of Mac and Windows workstations.

• Set up and support users in Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Active monitoring of systems and follow up on alerts.

• Keep documentation clear and up to date (onboarding, troubleshooting, best practices.

• Help improve support workflows and automation.

• Opportunity to grow into broader operational tasks like IAM, scripting, or cloud infrastructure.

Requirements  

• You have 2 to 5 years of experience in IT support of workplace engineering.

• Familiarity with at least a few of the following: Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace, Azure/Entra ID, Slack, Atlassian Stack.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts, such as DNS, DHCP and VPN.

• A good understanding of how to support both Mac and Windows users.

• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

• A structured, helpful and solutions-oriented mindset.

• You are living in the Netherlands as we would like to see you in our office at least 4 days per week. (For this position we do not offer a VISA sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Basic scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python).

• Familiarity with IAM concepts (SAML, SCIM).

• Interest in cloud operations (Google Cloud).

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Uptime.com.

Our hiring process

3. Interview with your future manager and meet the rest of the team (office): you will meet your future manager, dive deeper into the role and also meet the rest of your future team members.

4. Final interview (online): with one of our MT members that is responsible for the ISO team. 

5. Reference check: We ask you for 2 references that we can give a call and ask a few questions as a part of our hiring process.
